Nurse Practitioner Sarah McFarland

Background

Sarah McFarland received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from McMaster University in Hamilton. Sarah has practiced as a registered nurse for over 10 years in medical, surgical and nephrology units with a special interest for intensive care.  In 2014, she graduated from Ryerson University with a Masters of Science in Nursing and a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate.  Sarah has worked at a nurse practitioner-led clinic specializing in acute, long-term, and primary health care.  While she maintains a casual nursing position in Mount Sinai’s ICU, she works mainly at a contract research organization as a sub-investigator running clinical trials.  She recently received designation as a Certified Clinical Research Professional by SOCRA.  When she is not at work, Sarah enjoys golfing, reading and travelling.
