Nurse Practitioner Christie Tait

Background

Christie Tait completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph in 2002.  She went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Toronto in 2007, and a combined Masters Degree and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate at Ryerson University in 2015.  Over the last 10 years, Christie has specialized in both pediatric and adult emergency nursing and has worked as a research coordinator on studies related to asthma, bronchiolitis, and gastroenteritis in children.

Most recently Christie has been working to implement the Nurse Practitioner role within Sick Kids Emergency Department.  She has sat on numerous committees and participated in various initiatives aimed at improving: quality of care delivery, patient safety, and family-centred care.  Christie brings her extensive pediatric experience and passion for collaborative family-centred care to the team.
